I finally submitted my Biofilms 4 abstract - before the first deadline ;) - titled:
This is the continuation of my earlier work along the first paper, and aiming to get closer to the biological side of biofilm life. The fluid-structure interaction of flexible structures is already quite complicated due to the coupled nature of the problem and the computational methods and power it requires. In this work I am adding yet another physics to the challenge. It is funny how this primitive structures (not really) that can be simulated macroscopically with 1D models can become so tedious and challenging when modeling in smaller scales including the physics and biology. But this is nature, isn't it? so difficult not to fall in love with it. Well, I will be looking forward to attend this conference and meet new faces; and the most I hope that I can meet Paul Stoodley and have a chat about these interesting biofilm streamers, finally. |
