A Biofilm model - free to download

Many of the biofilm models published are closed source. However, there are some that you can freely use in your research. One of the free open source biofilm models is the Framework from Joao B. Xavier. The code is written in Java and is easy to read. It is an individual based model.

A fluid-structure interaction benchmark

When you get to learn a new code, you have to make sure you are doing things right. There benchmarks are a great help to avoid wasting too much time wandering around.

This is a simple benchmark, from Comsol modeling examples, that I implemented in BACI. There is a time-based input velocity and springs model is used to stretch the ALE mesh points, to conform large deformations. It is then post-processed in ParaView.
